Ophelia

Its been ages and ages since the last time I posted anything new here and what a better way return than to return with Ophelia. This photograph was used as poster artwork for Tutto Theatre Company's production of Ophelia by Dustin Wills this past fall. The image is in my opinion some of the best work I’ve ever done. The location, which is one of my favorite places in Austin, also caused me to fall on my ass at least twice and resulted in some pretty bruises. All worth it!

Savanna Russell

I shot this a few weeks before we left town for my friend Savanna Russell’s new CD. We had been talking about working together for some time but we were waiting for just the right time I guess. I think it was worth the wait.

The Amazing Dr Dave

I’m taking a small break from sharing photographs from the trip but there are more to come. I took this just before we left for Europe and I’ve been dying to share it with everyone. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this portrait. Dave is an amazing man! He’s a actor, dancer, artist and dear friend.

Eiffel Tower

This trip to Paris marks my third visit and every time I’ve photographed the Eiffel Tower and I think that this trip’s might be my favorite of them all. The symmetry of the structure is stunning in one and I love how it looks like its flying high in the sky in the other.

Passy Cemetery – Paris, France

We are home!!!

Matt and I both love Paris and were really sad to have to leave but its always feels so good to come home. It was so wonderful to hold the kitty and she was so excited to see us and then there’s always sleeping in our own bed after staying in hotels for the past three weeks.

On our last day in Paris we visited another cemetery and was just like Père Lachaise it overflowing with inspiring. Here are a few of the photographs from Passy…

Now that we’re back I think that I’m going to continue photographing cemeteries and see what kind find inspiration I can find in American cemeteries.
